The newer leaves really don't yellow very often.the bigger problem seems to be the rusty brown spots that occur on most all of the leaves. A deficiency results in yellowing between the veins of the leaves. Wait until march and treat the plants with orthene or other recommended insecticides. Bacterial rots often lead to a slimy texture and a foul odor.
